Today is the day

For some time now I've wanted to sart a blog about the various restaurants I visit during my travels around the globe. From now on, each restaurant I visit will be added to this site. In some cases I plan to retroactively add in those I've already visited and rated. The rating scale will be modeled on the Robert Parker 100 point scale:

  • 50 pts just for being open
  • 20 points for food
  • 15 for service
  • 10 for ambiance
  • 5 for wine.

I'll say more about the details of this scale another time. But prepare yourself, I'm brutal and will leave no prisoners. We spend WAY TOO MUCH MONEY not to have an opinion. It's time to put these places on a level playing field and get an honest opinion about these places. I have no affliation to any restaurant in the world and will honor an objectiveness that as been missed in most circles. More importantly I will try my best not to come across as an arrogant resaurant snob. Look, I like restaurants and I like good food. But I also think Kraft macaroni and cheee has it's place in this world. Enough for now.
